Being Omar Rashid is a short film that explores the theme of doubling, drawing inspiration from two famous films: Georges Méliès’ “L’Homme-Orchestre” and Spike Jonze’s “Being John Malkovich”.

Through the use of special effects similar to those used by Méliès and the representation of the experience of being “inside” someone else’s mind from Jonze’s cult film, the short film transports the viewer into a surreal and humorous world.

On the couch, in the kitchen, or inside the TV screen, Omar’s clones crowd the space of Gold’s office, moving in a dizzying way around the viewer in 360 degrees.
